About our products
Screen Art panels are laser cut from 3mm aluminium sheet however we also cut screens in thicker material - up to 10 mm for more robust applications.
Each screen and frame is custom made to suit your requirements so there are no standard sizes.
Depending on your requirements, we will also provide solid timber framing for our screens, with the contrast in texture of the two materials enhancing the overall effect.
Screen Art panels are maintenance free, combining strength and security with a unique piece of functional art. Unlike timber, our aluminium screens will not warp, crack or rot.
Our screens are designed and made in our Burleigh factory and we ship Australia wide.
Why Aluminium ?

Why do we choose Aluminium as the preferred material for our screens?
Aluminium is used extensively in harsh marine environments, for boat building, jetties, handrails and fittings.
Aluminium is also used to build aircraft and some automobiles and parts such as bullbars etc
Aluminium is used to manufacture many whitegoods and household items
Aluminium is 100% recyclable and experiences no loss of properties or quality during the recycling process. Recycling aluminium also uses only 5% of the energy used to created new aluminium and emits only 5% of the greenhouse gases. It is for these reasons that approximately 75% of the aluminium ever produced is still in use today.
The properties of aluminium include: low density and therefore low weight, high strength, superior malleability, excellent corrosion resistance and good thermal and electrical conductivity.

Powdercoat
The powder used in the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which is electrostatically sprayed onto the surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until the powder is heated and fused into a smooth coating in the curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high quality and attractive finish. Powdercoating is one of the most economical, longest lasting, and most color-durable quality finishes available on virtually any type of metal. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes. Color selection is virtually unlimited with flat, satin, gloss, high gloss, metallic finishes.
Powder Coating is also highly protective of our environment. While liquid finishes contain solvents which have pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOC's), powder coating contains no solvents and release negligible amounts, if any, VOC's into the atmosphere. Therefore, there is no longer a need for finishers to buy and maintain costly pollution control equipment.
Powdercoating is used to finish thousands of products such as stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, automotive items such as wheels, architectural products such as window frames, with powdercoating being used widely on many items such as guardrails, highway signage, posts and fencing and many everyday products too numerous to list.
